The project brief in Part A is not clear enough as to the specific technical requirements. What exactly is the innovation you are looking for?

We have read the documentation provided, but don’t presently have 100% confidence we understand what is specifically required.
“The project is to create an innovation which changes the way organisations and users can deliver their application services like Microsoft Office 365/Email/TEAMS and ERP and CRM systems like SAP, Oracle to Ecommerce systems and websites, no matter where, ensuring they are predictable and consistent from a user’s perspective.”
We don’t know what this means here. We think the requirement is about extending Hortium capability into data integration and MI provision but we recognise this is only one possible way to read the generic sounding requirements.
We are currently leading an initiative to offer an integrated approach to business integrated governance. This is defining a model for how to join up decision making from main board to portfolios, programmes, projects, product, and BAU workstreams. This is implying a core data model. We have a technology workstream which is focused on Data and MI – but the idea is that we have an integration capability to take information from source systems (like the ones above) for given entities and combine that using enterprise reference data to enable business integrated governance – to deploy through (for example) Power BI and Teams.
It hounds like Hotium wants to enter this space – which is great as we are thinkers with ideas we wish to develop – and collaboration would offer the next way to achieve this.
Managing user Experience is key to deliver end to end control, consistent service levels and drive down costs.
Agreed – we believe this is a vital design driver.
The innovation is to make this happen. This will be the only innovation to provide actionable insights across the whole digital supply chain, from the user’s perspective.
We believe there are several levels of insights:
- A user wants to explore and discover – and spot things that they have not designed the data to surface per say. This may surface trend / correlation, but also offer sentiment analysis, theme identification etc form Natural Language Processing with AI tools.
- Operational needs – access to reference data, data mid workflow, tasking etc – this si typically surfaced from business solutions through their interfaces and MI outputs.
- Governance needs – these are not necessarily instant needs – what is more important is a combined analysis at a common moment in process / timing.
We believe all of these levels require integrated data and good management of master / reference data to enable connections and joins, and or effective rules to enable an AI solution to fill in the gaps.
Hortium’s EUX solutions allow large and small business to deliver the required end user experience whilst testing the services users perform every day to seeing real usage data for each user end to end from high level management reporting to drill down detail about the quality of the session.
We can see this capability – which is connecting with IT services could be extended for data full integration and quality processing capability?
Users are really sensitive about the quality of services. They need proactive Analytics. User satisfaction through migration of services to delivery is highly dependent on application and service performance. This is normal, because most of the usage is synchronous. When it comes to services such as Microsoft, SAP, WEB etc, slow is really the new down and poor performance not only lets your users and business down but waste network resources.
We have extensive experience of integrating customer data – and doing this with speed and reliability – perhaps accessing information faster than source systems enable, and providing integrations that are too slow to manufacture in real time or on demand.
Scope of Works:
To create and deliver code and design for a fully functioning and fully tested solution.
We can see the headings under which deliverables will fall – but it feels like the discovery and envisioning part of the engagement has yet to be done before the technology the solution is to be prepared with is clear, what existing assets can be re-used, and what the solution vision might look like – yet alone before work can be ball park estimated.
At the current stage all parties who request to be part of the tender have the same specifications to work with.
We would be looking for an estimate of hours needed for the complete project and the costs associated.
We understand that further details maybe required during the project, but these details would be fleshed out during the start of the project once awarded.
